 The Blind Man franchise owners appreciate that there is no need for expensive office or warehouse space. Our franchise concept was designed from the start to operate as an efficient home-based business with low overhead and no inventory.
The beauty of our business is its simplicity. Once you receive the down payment for an order, you send the specifications to the manufacturer, who then creates your custom blinds and drop ships them to you for installation.
You don’t need to carry inventory or manufacture your own blinds. And you only order product once you’ve secured the job.
In-demand products. The market for our product category (called “hard” or “alternative” window coverings) is enormous, including both new and older homes, townhomes, condominiums and retirement homes, business and commercial properties and more.
Each The Blind Man franchise owner is granted an exclusive trade area of approximately 110,000 households, or a population of up to 330,000, in which no other The Blind Man operator may do business.
For the right person, operating The Blind Man of America can be very fulfilling work. When asked, our franchisees often say they value the sense of accomplishment when the customer sees their finished job for the first time, as well as the personal bonds they’ve formed with long-time customers.
Training & Support
 We will train you and your employees at The Blind Man of America’s corporate office and/or at the locations of The Blind Man of America franchisees. The training is usually for a period of 10-15 days.
The Blind Man of America does not charge for this training service, but you must pay travel and living expenses. Subjects include sales, installation, marketing, office management, computer setup, and operation and data entry. Both classroom hours and on-the-job training are provided.
We will continue to provide help with all aspects of growing your business. We want you to succeed, and all of our corporate management will make their expertise and guidance available to you.
In addition, we constantly update our Operations Manual with new procedures and other information to keep you at the leading edge of the window covering industry.
